ReadMe for ImageExtractorAndMerger 1.0.3: Disclaimer ========== You use this program at your own risk. The author cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from the use of this program. Purpose ======= ImageExtractorAndMerger extracts pictures (and meta infos) from a datafile and saves them in a directory. It can also merge all files in a directory into such a datafile which allows to edit the images (e.g. for translation) and create a new datafile. Supported Formats: -BMP -GIF (87a/89a) -JFIF -PNG How to use ImageExtractorAndMerger ================================== ImageExtractorAndMerger is separated in 2 sections: The top section is for extraction images and data and the lower section is for merging them into a datafile. Extraction ---------- In the textbox "File", please enter the file name (full path) or double-click it to use the OpenFile dialog. If no saving directory has been specified, the default is to create a directory "Extracted Images" in the same directory as the data file. Click on "Extract" to extract all images (and additional data) into the specified folder. The files will appear numbered with their proper extensions, e.g. 00.dat, 01.gif, 02.gif, 03.dat, ... Merging ------- In the textbox "ImageDir" please enter the file name (full path) or double click it to use the BrowseFolder dialog. The default for FileName is "MergedImages.dat" which is created in the same directory as the extracted images and data. You can change that name at your convenience. To merge the files click on "Merge". Please note that the files are merged in alphabetical order.
